Information we collect

SteelRoots may collect information you submit when creating an account, placing an order, bidding, applying to sell, publishing a listing, uploading product images, or contacting the store. This may include your name, email address, phone number, shipping or pickup information, account credentials, listing content, messages, bids, and order history.

Payments

Card payments are processed through Stripe. SteelRoots does not store full credit-card numbers or card security codes on its server. Stripe may collect and process payment and fraud-prevention information under its own privacy terms.

Store analytics

The site uses first-party analytics to count page views, sessions, device categories, referral sources, and marketplace actions. The built-in analytics system does not intentionally store raw IP addresses. Hosting providers, security services, Apple, Google, or Stripe may maintain their own operational logs.

How information is used

Information is used to operate accounts, orders, auctions, seller listings, customer support, fraud prevention, store administration, inventory, payments, fulfillment, and site performance.

eBay account connection and listing import

If you choose to connect an eBay seller account, SteelRoots may receive and process information authorized by you through eBay, including your eBay seller identity, OAuth authorization tokens, active listing identifiers, titles, descriptions, item specifics, prices, quantities, condition information, shipping information, SKUs, and listing images. SteelRoots uses this information only to provide requested eBay account connection, listing-import, inventory-management, and related marketplace features.

SteelRoots does not ask for or store your eBay password. eBay authentication is completed on eBay, and SteelRoots stores only the authorization credentials returned for the permissions you approve. You may disconnect eBay from SteelRoots, after which stored eBay authorization credentials will be removed or disabled as permitted by applicable record-retention requirements.

eBay account deletion notifications

SteelRoots maintains an eBay Marketplace Account Deletion notification endpoint for privacy compliance. If eBay notifies SteelRoots that an eBay account connected to SteelRoots has been deleted or has requested deletion, SteelRoots may remove or disconnect stored eBay authorization credentials and eBay-specific account identifiers associated with that connection, subject to legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, and transaction-retention obligations.

Sharing

Information may be shared with service providers necessary to operate the marketplace, such as payment, hosting, delivery, email, or fraud-prevention providers. Public seller profiles, listings, bids with masked bidder identity, and product information may be visible to other users as described on the site.

Retention and choices

Records may be retained as needed for transactions, disputes, accounting, security, and legal obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion of eligible account information by contacting SteelRoots. Some transaction records may need to be retained.

Children

The marketplace is not intended for children under 13. Auction bidding, purchases, and seller activity should be completed by people legally able to enter the applicable transaction.
